Johnson’s No More Tangles styling system for kids
There’s nothing quite as special as a little mother-daughter bonding time. One of the easiest ways to work it into my day is by setting aside time to sit down with my daughter to fix her hair. It is then that something as mundane as getting ready for school can become infused with creativity and fun.
Styling my daughter’s hair promises infinite possibilities, limited only by our imaginations. There is only one thing that can stop us: TANGLES. Discovering a stubborn knot in my daughter’s hair will stop the styling fun as I struggle to find a way to undo it without hurting her tender head.
My daughter has short fine curly hair, and for this reason I feel that I need to be especially careful. It is prone to breakage and tangles easily, just like my own hair. That’s where Johnson’s No More Tangles styling system comes in. These products were created especially for little one’s delicate hair, and they work wonderfully on toddlers and young children. I will admit that I even use the products on my own hair, and I am pleased with the results.
They smell great and leave my daughter’s hair smelling springtime fresh, but most importantly, the brush glides right through the knots once these products are applied and used as part of a daily routine.

JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® Detangling Spray
Helps tame tangles in no time! Tangles are the biggest obstacle to achieving a look your daughter will love. What I enjoy most about this product is that it helps us tackle those stubborn tangles in a manner that is pain free for my daughter, and that it nourishes her hair.
Hairstyles for girls
My daughter’s short, fine hair does present a challenge at times, since she gravitates to styles designed for longer hair. A case in point are the various princess styles with braids or updos. These are wonderful to wear at dress-up time, or for ballet recitals or church.
What I have found is that Johnson’s No More Tangles products enable me to adapt those styles for my daughter’s unique hair.
Princess updo with braid and twist bun tutorial
This style is very simple to create, and many variations are possible:
1. Comb all the hair to one side.
2. Grab a large section of hair at the front. Divide it into three distinct sections, and overlap them one at a time to create a braid.
3. Wrap the braid around the side of the head, securing with bobby pins. You can use a decorative clip to secure the end of the braid.
4. Take the loose hair in back and gently twist it to form a pony tail, then wrap it in a circular direction to form a small bun. Secure with bobby pins.
5. Add a sparkly headband to complete the princess look.
