I never thought I’d say that I’m crushing on a pizza, but it’s happened. If you’ve had the chance to try Papa Murphy’s new Fresh Pan Pizza, you know exactly what I’m talking about. This pizza is wonderfully good, but what is just as appetizing about this pizza is how convenient it is and the affordable price.
If you haven’t heard of Papa Murphy’s Take ‘n’ Bake Pizza, here’s the idea: Papa Murphy’s prepares a pizza with fresh ingredients to your specifications, and you take it home to cook it at a time that’s convenient for you at 425 degrees. For around $10, my family found the Papa Murphy’s Fresh Pan Pizza to be a real bargain.
We chose good old fashioned pepperoni, and as it turned out, Papa Murphy’s saved the day. The plan was to have friends over for a movie party play date. My friend and I are busy moms, and the afternoon of the play date we had a hard time coordinating our schedules. But in between errands, appointments, and life, we were determined to make this play date happen, and we were going to have pizza.
Once I knew my friend was on her way with her daughter, I was able to put the pizza in the oven right away. The pizza was hot and ready just as they arrived. Perfect timing!
A quick word about the Papa Murphy Fresh Pan Pizza. It’s very important to keep the pan level when baking it, because it cooks in a layer of buttery oil. Be sure to check on the pizza every five minutes. At 425 degrees, the pizza will be ready when the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown, but not TOO brown.
We tried some delicious sides too: the Cheesy Bread and the caesar salad. All in all, our playdate was a big success, and the kids were happy because they had full tummies.
