A sign for bad parents
Are parents so lax these days that they actually need a reminder like this to recall that they brought their kids to the store with them? Pathetic!

Wow! That is really sad. However I know some people in my town that would probably benefit from having signs like this around :/
That really is pathetic! I had 3 small ones, I usually carried the smallest, and the other 2 held my hand and/or pocket because I told them I was “scared”, especially when “crossing the street”! They thought they were “helping” me. I always knew where my little ducklings were. I cannot imagine having to rely on a sign to remind me to check for my children 🙁
That’s pretty funny. I cannot imagine anyone leaving their kids, but I suppose if you are distracted that it’s possible.

lol well this is both funny and not! I seriously hope people don’t actually leave their children anywhere – I’ve always got mine close, even my 10 yr old! You never know what kind of people are around!
Any time I doubt my parenting skills, all I have to do is look around me for things like this and I feel a whole lot better!
I just don’t know what to say to this. Parents are so busy these days that this doesn’t surprise me. We need to stop, take a deep breath, and remember that our children are our future. We need to spend more quality time with them.
I’m guessing it is a joke. Basically reminding parents to keep an eye on kids while they’re shopping. A polite and amusing way to say it.

Leaving your child behind is very possible when you have multiple kids plus everything else happening around. It happened to one of my friend after coming out of a concert. She quickly realized she was missing one child after she drove away. Gladly the child was standing there waiting for his mom. He went to the bathroom and my friend thought she had all 5 of them in the car! Sigh ~~ scary
They should also get off their phones and quit checking their Facebook status or Tweets; as small children are very quick at disappearing from your sight and may end up in the wrong hands or in danger of harming themselves.
LOL! I actually have to count kids some days when leaving my sons preschool. I have a whole car full(6 most days)BUT I would never leave without them all!

While I hope that I would never leave my children, I understand how it could happen.
Some parents let their kids run wild when there out. My son doesn’t go out of arms reach of me, ever. 🙂

This is why when my kids were smaller I did everything possible NOT to take them shopping with me..not only was it nerve-wracking keeping up with them and shopping at same time but I had to spend about a hundred extra dollars with all the mom please can I have this from each of them!
After seeing some of the stuff on the news and internet, I’m not surprised. It is so sad.
I’ve never seen a sign like this any place I’ve ever shopped. I would have to wonder, seriously, Who in the world would forget their kids? That is just unbelievable.
LOL – my own mother lost me at Disneyland when I was a child. This sign would have helped her!
I wonder how in the heck someone could forget their kids in the grocery store? I always had my son in the buggy when he was smaller and went with me to the store. This is awful when there is a sign to remind parents to check to make sure that they have their kids. What is this world coming to? Thanks for the post it was enlightening.

Yes, some parents are so focused on their tasks they forget their first priority…to tend their kids and include them in the task.

At the age of 8 until 12 (or so) my poor mother (whom had 4 kids…including me) was forever forgetting just where I had gone, when she was doing the head count. I was always at a “Book Store’ (I was an avid reader) and she always said” I am not going to have much hair left, if you keep going off like this”!
I lost sight of my son in a store once for about 10 seconds and totally freaked out. He never played the hide in the clothes rack trick on me again. I can’t even imagine not knowing where they are at all times.
I don’t have children of my own but, I can see how that would happen I see so many women in the store tweeting away or on FB on their smartphones and their kids are running wild through the store. Are we so important that FB and tweets can’t wait until we’re safely home with the kids? I find the sign kinda funny but also a sad sign of the times..
That is sad that you would need a reminder not to forget your children – tho Im sure some would like to. If they forget the kids they arent even going to read the sign to remind them either.
This one just cracks me up. With some of the terrors raised this days by the fault of the parents maybe that is why they forget.

Do you think, possibly, that this sign was meant to be humorous? I mean, I took it as a joke, a little sarcastic humor, rather than a real reminder to check for your kids…I mean…REALLY. Is everyone getting all worked up over a funny sign?
Is this for real??? you are so right it is pathetic!! I just don’t understand how any parent could just walk off & forget to take their child with them. I know I may be a little over protective but this is just ignorance on behalf of the parents!!
